Switch from QuickBooks
Drop the Excel, CSV, or IIF download. Steward posts it to the journal, with classes as funds, so the statements are yours instead of the sample.
QuickBooks Online
- Chart of accounts → export to Excel or CSV. That brings numbers and account types.
- Reports → Journal → All Dates → Export to Excel. That is the full double-entry history.
- Optional: export customers and vendors if you want them on Giving and Payables.
QuickBooks Desktop
An IIF file is the cleanest single download: File → Utilities → Export → Lists to IIF, and transactions if your edition includes them. A Journal exported to Excel works the same way as Online.
Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet are summaries. They are not the books. A Trial Balance can open the year if you do not need history.
Leaving later? Export the books in a form QuickBooks can take.
